Premises and Principles

AngelPaks does not engage in political debate of any kind regarding the  social, cultural or economic dimensions of homelessness.  We focus soley on children who, in all cases, are innocent victims of these difficult, traumatic and often dangerous conditions. We partner with community organizations that directly address all of these structural aspects. Yet our volunteers are instructed to avoid engaging in polemics regarding the usefulness or worthiness of providing this kind of support for homeless or refugee children.

Our philopshy of giving is to treat each child as "one of our own." Quite simply, we believe that these children are our own; that we are entrusted by the highest power to love and care for those who need and depend on us. Based on this philosophy, all of the gifts we give children are precious, beautiful and new. We leave the tags on items so that they can write their names on them and , now that we focus on backpacks, children can possess and carry their belongings with ease and security.

Important note regarding donations:

Because of the nature and types of the items we provide, AngelPaks procures nearly all  of them from high volume, online providers. Most offer both volume and charitable discounts. In particular, this applies to the backpacks, the blankets, the animals and the hygiene kits. We do appreciate monetary contributions to make this possible.

However there are some items that can be purchased locally at wholesalers like Costco or retailers like Target and Walmart.  See Home page for key items and the dropoff location.
